MAPE Engineering Switzerland SA is an Engineering company, specialised in the control and management of
industrial processes, especially in plasturgy, in the field of plastics and composites
transformation-expertise- based on the data provided by Heat Flow Sensors; invented by
MAPE Engineering Switzerland SA.
The Heat Flow Sensors are functioning either at high or
low temperatures, depending on the modes, conductive, radiative or convective. The heat
exchanges are measured by the sensors; as such they are real detectors of thermal events,
resulting of exothermal or endothermal reactions occurring inside the raw material; pasty
or solid- during its transformations. They represent the transition thermocinetics- phase
change- fusion, degradation- as well as reactions- cross-linking, crystallisation,
resulting from structural modifications. MAPE Engineering Switzerland SA owns an original concept of
thermofluxmetric regulation and piloting, based on a thermodynamical scale, the Material
Status Indicator- Real Material Status in Real Time- This automation allows controlling
quality and productivity of the transformation processes of thermosets materials, and
under specific conditions thermoplastics, whatever can be its reinforcing elements- carbon
fibers, or glass fibers- its rheology, or its transforming mode- SMC, BMC, RTM, RIM-
rubber and elastomer injection.
The equipment, conceived by MAPE Engineering Switzerland SA, is a real Smart Manufacturing System which
via its production control, leads to variable costs reduction, and thus increase of profit,
quality and profitability. Other applications were considerd as relevant: uncomplete
pieces detection, sealing knives thermoregulation for the food industry packaging,
thermostabilisation of thermoforming moulds, extrusion heads and transport containers of
biological products, temperature measurement, contactless, of textile wires running at
high speeds, chemical reaction regulations in batteries in tha uatomotive industry,
measurement of weak massic flows in the medical field, predictive maintenance of bearings,
sollicitated with high loads- high speeds- via the lubricant degradation measurement in
e.g. turbine.
